Barley grass juice is a discovery of the famous Japanese doctor Yoshihide Hagiwara who is a doctor of Medicine at the Kumamoto University.
This discovery – effectiveness of the juice from barley grass in the treatment of a disease and maintenance of health – is the result of thirteen years of researching on human nutrition plan, to find remedies which participate in the process of rehabilitation of the organism and stop the degradation of cells and cell aging.
Barley grass confirmed its medicinal properties. When the young plant will reach a height of 20-30 cm then the barley contains the most nutrients necessary to the cells.
I agree with Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara that barley grass is one of the most complete super foods. I also agree that barley grass can help to prevent diseases.
We have to be very careful when we talk about nutrition, diseases and the connection between the two. Unless we understand everything in context, we might be talking apples and pears, or even worse; accepting folly as truth.
When is barley grass really nutritious and healthy
As you can see on the internet and other media, every producer and seller of barley grass claims that their product is the best. For obvious reason, that can’t be true.
In fact many barley grass products on the market are of low quality. They have little or no benefit and in some instances they are dangerous for your health.
What is needed to produce quality barley grass
- Grown organically in a remote place where there is no air pollution
- Grown in a place where there is no other commercial agricultural activity
- Preferably irrigated naturally (rain) or with spring water
- Harvested at the pick of nutrition
- Manufactured within a few hours of harvesting in GMP facility
As you know, all over the world we are battling with pollution. And there are very few inhabited places without pollution. Producing quality barley grass is becoming very expensive business.
Regrettably many barley grass products come from polluted China. Cheap and nasty! Unfortunately many people go for cheap. But there is always a price to pay for cheap… your health.
Humans don’t digest grass well
Normally after harvesting grass is juiced and then dried on low temperature.
There is also an easy way to make cheap barley grass. After harvesting, grass is dried as it is (not juiced). This requires much cheaper process and increases volume drastically. As they say, it kills two birds with one stone.
But the consumer gets an inferior product; the amount of nutrition is reduced significantly, and most of it is not digestible. You’ll be wasting precious energy to digest something which is not digestible; not to mention your hard earned cash.
So, on the surface buying cheap barley grass seems a good deal, but if you really consider the facts, it’s a very bad deal in more ways than one.
Powerful cure for 22 diseases as the title screams at you
Here is the thing…
Only the body has an ability to heal itself. And the healing ability is dependent on the external and internal conditions body finds itself. No amount of anything can cure anything. There is no miracle potion cure. You can influence symptoms to a certain degree, but altering symptoms is not curing. It’s shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.
Breathing clean air, drinking clean water, eating appropriate nutritious food (mostly raw), participating in suitable physical activity, and being connected to something much greater than you, is the only way to create required conditions where the healing can take place. We are talking here about lifestyle.
Quality barley grass is just a small part of creating these healing conditions.
Be wise, take heed.
